Route Bus Tickets from early days to 2000
623 photos in 25 sub-albums
In the Malta Bus Archive at the 'National Archives of Malta' there is a wonderfully comprehensive collection of Route Bus Tickets. In order to make an easy way for interested parties to view these I have with the very great assistance of Richard Stedall [the lead coordinator of the Malta Bus Archive at the NAT] been able to get my grubby hands on the Malcolm Chase collection of images. The initial quantity of 624 appear in this folder.

Malta Postage Stamps with a 'Transport' theme
107 photos
A presentation by Mac Head. Special note - the text for issue of 14 September 2023 [ref:Th] is, owing to space conflicts, being added here in the album description viz: Issued on the 14th September 2023 by Malta Post was a stamp commemorating Fort Manoel also known as HMS Phoenicia, between 1943 and 1965 used as accommodation by ratings serving at Lascaris W/T. The upper floor block to the right of the recently restored baroque chapel of St Anthony of Padua was used by watch-keepers when off duty. Those members who watched the first series of Game of Thrones may reconise its use, particularly the use of the footbridge between the two buildings, although not visible in this view. Although rarely open to the public you may be lucky and be on holiday in Malta when the fort is open to the local population. I’ve visited the fort on a number of occasions and discovered much that I was unaware of during my stay there in 1960/61, such as the ghost, referred to as ‘Larry the Leper’ at that time, frequently seen by members of the ships company, within this block, highly recommended. Mac Head.
